It is hard to believe that Gideon is already more than 2 weeks old. His second week of life included several things of note.
Saturday we had Adam's family over to celebrate my birthday. Sunday included his first trip to church and then Dad had to return home. On Wednesday we went to lunch with my great aunt Mary Ann and she got to meet Gideon.
Friday was his first trim of his hair. I couldn't believe that it had grown so much we needed to trim it already. I also couldn't believe how much he seemed to have grown as we took two week pictures with Fred the frog. My little boy is already growing lots. Although with his eating habits I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. He sure does like to eat.
On Monday of this week we went to the doctor for his two week checkup. He is doing well. He weighed 9 lbs and 6 oz and was 21 inches long. The doctor says he is doing really well. We then went to visit Adam's grandparents and went to lunch with them.
Adam is home from work this week to help me since Mom had to return home on Sunday. I've been trying to start doing most of the daytime care of him so I feel like I can handle it next week when Adam is not around but it is nice having him around to help if I need it.
